Two Biomedical Sciences Researchers Named Among World’s Most Highly Cited Scientists for 2023

ATLANTA — Two leading researchers in the Institute for Biomedical Sciences at Georgia State University have been ranked in the top 1 percent worldwide by citations for their field and publication year in the Web of Science database, according to the Highly Cited Researchers 2023 list by Clarivate.

The annual Highly Cited Researchers list has identified global research scientists and social scientists who have demonstrated significant and broad influence in their fields of research since 2001.

Tanya Washington Joins Colleagues in the Advancement of Children’s Constitutional Rights Consortium

A $2.1 million gift from an anonymous donor will support a new project to advance children’s constitutional rights. The Advancement of Children’s Constitutional Rights consortium includes three nationally recognized children’s rights legal scholars, including Tanya Washington of Georgia State University’s College of Law.

Cirleen DeBlaere Appointed Director of Faculty Development

Cirleen DeBlaere has been selected as the Director of Faculty Development in the Office of Faculty Affairs, effective July 10, 2023.

Dr. DeBlaere currently serves as a Senior Faculty Associate for Mentoring in the Graduate School as well as the Faculty Associate for Professional Development in the Office of Faculty Affairs. In these positions, she has been responsible for the oversight of mentoring programs, writing accountability groups, and workshops in support of faculty development and success.
