Perfectionism is tricky. You probably experienced some early and maybe ongoing benefits from a combination of exceedingly high standards and pushing yourself to be better, never satisfied, and always sensing a gap between how you did (or how you are) and how you should have done (or how you should be). Others might see you as performing at a very high level, yet you may not feel good about how you are doing. This training helps in understanding different parts of the perfectionism puzzle, the double-edged sword of high expectations, and strategies for getting better with your perfectionism. This session featured Georgia State’s Kenneth G. Rice, Professor in the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services.
