SEPTEMBER 28: CELEBRATING FACULTY EXCELLENCE

University Club, Center Parc StadiumCelebrating Faculty Excellence is an annual dinner honoring outstanding faculty who have been recognized for excellence in teaching, learning, research, scholarship, and mentoring, along with newly appointed/re-appointed Regents’ Professors and Distinguished University Professors.
OCTOBER 3 & 16: PROMOTION & TENURE WORKSHOP

Monday, Oct. 16, 2023, 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Via WebExThis session will take tenure track faculty through the various steps in the promotion and tenure process. Tenured faculty and administrators will share their perspectives on navigating the process. This event will include time for a Q&A.

OCTOBER 5: PATH TO THE PROFESSORIATE

Student Center EastPath to the Professoriate is aimed at providing Ph.D. students with insights on opportunities available in academic careers, in addition to practical knowledge about the processes of job searches, building a national scholarly reputation, and the ins and outs on how to thrive as a faculty member.
Registration is free and open to Georgia State Ph.D. students in their 3rd year and beyond. All disciplines are welcome. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
A registration form link has been sent to GSU Ph.D. students; reminder emails will be sent to Ph.D. students.
OCTOBER 19: NEW FACULTY CHECK-IN

Presented by the Office of Faculty Affairs, this facilitated discussion continues our Building Careers and Communities Series for non-tenure track (NTT) faculty. Each workshop in this series focuses on a specific group of NTT faculty, providing information and resources on growing careers, as well as an opportunity to meet colleagues with similar experiences.
