WRITING ACCOUNTABILITY GROUPS
The Writing Accountability Groups (WAGs) program supports faculty development by providing a network for faculty at all levels to receive writing support and inspiration from other GSU community members. WAG members meet bi-weekly to conduct on-site writing, goal-setting, and peer-accountability. In addition to helping faculty make sustained progress on writing projects, WAGs enable participants to meet new colleagues and develop supportive relationships beyond their department and college.
Successes in 2019
- 99 faculty members participated, forming 31 WAGs
- Participants produced 7 books, 6 articles, and 8 papers
- 95% of WAG respondents agreed that WAGs support their goals, foster community, and encourage progress
- 91% of WAG respondents said they would recommend the program to a fellow faculty members
