Support for Students with Disabilities
Disability Services provides support to any student with a documented disability who chooses to identify themselves to Disability Services. Support services include assistive technology, academic couching, note-taking, and lab assistance services. Students with disabilities should register with Disability Student Services, which provides Letters of Accommodation after students have submitted required documentation. Disability Services representatives are also available at each Perimeter College campus.
Support for Faculty and Staff with Disabilities
The HR-Benefits office works with eligible employees to identify the most appropriate accommodation in a given situation. Accommodations are made on a case by case basis, taking into account the type and severity of the disability and the specific job requirements involved. To receive an accommodation in the workplace, the faculty/staff member must first self-identify as having a disability. Information and appropriate forms can be found in the HR-ADA site and in Section 101.2 of the GSU Employee Handbook.
Support for guests with disabilities attending GSU events
