Brandon Cosby was hired at Georgia State University in May of 2016 and has progressively served the university as a Senior Records Coordinator, a Data Collections Coordinator, a Faculty Affairs Coordinator, and currently as a Faculty Affairs Manager for HR. He serves as the HR point of contact for faculty and consistently communicates with the deans and senior leadership on faculty hiring and other HR matters. Brandon manages the intake, processing, and communications associated with all faculty personnel action requests. He adheres to policies and procedures set forth by the university and assists with recruitment, hiring, and faculty reviews for more than 1,500 faculty across six campus locations in the metropolitan Atlanta area.
Brandon also manages faculty entry, correction, and reporting of data in OneUSG MFE and troubleshoots and handles all Banner privileges, and serves as final approver for faculty HR transactions. He acts as a liaison with central HR and college faculty hiring personnel in order to facilitate effective and efficient HR practices. Prior to his time at Georgia State, he worked in state government for the State Board of Workers’ Compensation and the Georgia Department of Public Health in the vital records division.
Brandon holds a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree with a concentration in Sociology and Business from Georgia State University, in addition to an associate’s degree in Business Administration.
