THE LEADERSHIP HOUR
The Leadership Hour is a leadership development program open to all faculty, from all ranks, at Georgia State, and was inaugurated in during the spring 2024 semester.
Workshops featured special guests who discuss their own leadership practices, including learning from mistakes and experiences.
The inaugural series included:
- Friday, Jan. 19, 2024: A discussion, led by Dr. Corrie Fountain, Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs, on the role, expectations, and complexities of leadership.
- Monday, Feb. 12, 2024: Leading as a Dean – Dean’s Panel
- Lisa Armistead, Dean, The Graduate School
- Rodney Lyn, Dean, School of Public Health
- Huanbiao Mo, Dean, Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions
- March 20, 2024: Leading as the Provost – Provost Nicolle Parsons-Pollard
- April 15, 2024: Leading as the President – President M. Brian Blake
